• Accountable for expanding the customer base, enhancing customer loyalty, increasing revenue per customer, and achieving overall financial growth within the labor trust segment.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to strengthen brand equity and boost product sales among fund trustees, benefits administrators, and labor union stakeholders.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of Vida's technology, product offerings, and mission while conveying value in relation to member health outcomes and fiduciary stewardship.
• Grasp the governance and decision-making processes of jointly-managed funds; craft tailored proposals that cater to trustee priorities and specific fund benefit structures.
• Initiate, cultivate, and sustain robust relationships with fund trustees, benefits directors, and both labor-side and management-side counsel as necessary.
• Create new business opportunities and sales leads through a blend of industry networking (IFEBP, ISCEBS, regional labor conferences), inbound inquiries, and effective collaboration with channel and fund administrators.
• Ensure a sustainable competitive advantage for the business through a value-added, outcomes-focused strategy customized to meet the cost and population health needs of labor trust buyers.
• Comprehend key segments within the labor market—construction trades, public sector, healthcare workers, and transportation—while assisting in refining positioning accordingly.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• 5-7+ years of experience in both direct and indirect sales within the Taft-Hartley, labor trust, or multi-employer benefits arena, with a proven track record of surpassing sales targets.
• Profound knowledge of the Taft-Hartley Act, jointly-managed fund governance, and the multi-employer plan landscape; pre-existing relationships with fund administrators and labor consultants are highly desirable.
• Experience in navigating trustee-driven purchasing processes, including delivering committee presentations and responding to fiduciary-oriented RFPs.
• An entrepreneurial mindset capable of self-starting and inspiring others; excels in a relationship-focused, longer-cycle sales environment with complex stakeholder dynamics.
• Capacity to swiftly adjust priorities and a willingness to do whatever it takes to complete tasks effectively.
