This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Offer strategic direction on all marketing and communications projects, ensuring alignment with VOW for Girls' mission, revenue objectives, and brand identity.
• Create and implement a growth marketing plan that enhances revenue and brand recognition by targeting new audiences.
• Manage the marketing technology stack and leverage analytics to deliver actionable insights that enhance donor acquisition and engagement.
• Effectively oversee the marketing budget, focusing on high-impact growth opportunities and optimizing resources to maximize the nonprofit budget.
• Extract and analyze data from market research, advertising platforms, social media, and CRM tools to uncover growth opportunities, optimize campaign performance, and adjust strategies in real time—no analyst required.
• Convert complex data sets into clear, actionable growth strategies for the team and board to guide long-term organizational objectives.
• Design and implement A/B tests for email subject lines, landing pages, and social ad creatives to maximize return on investment.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to create and maintain shared dashboards and reporting infrastructures that monitor marketing KPIs across campaigns, channels, and audiences.
• Expertise in constructing segmented audience journeys that enhance donor acquisition, engagement, retention, and overall lifetime value.
• Lead VOW's lead-generation, nurturing, and email marketing strategies with a focus on continually improving CRM email segments and utilizing data sources to inform segmentation strategies across email and other digital channels (e.g., paid media, social media, etc.).
• Oversee the creation of engaging content across various formats—copywriting, emails, social media posts, graphics, and short-form videos—while relying on a select group of key vendors. The capability to produce content personally is an added advantage.
• Strategize the distribution of engaging content across diverse channels, ensuring brand consistency and impactful messaging.
• Collaborate closely with the fundraising team to design compelling donor communications and materials.
• Uphold brand standards and guidelines to guarantee consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and progress reports on marketing and communications initiatives.
• Over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, emphasizing growth within nonprofit organizations, startups, social impact, or social entrepreneurship.
• Proven experience in testing growth strategies with new audiences and designing experiments for continuous improvement.
• A successful history of developing and implementing go-to-market strategies that drive growth.
• Experience in optimizing websites and content for SEO and evolving AI-driven search experiences, including keyword strategy, content structuring, and best practices for discoverability.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing workflows and automation tools (e.g., Hubspot, Lovable, Claude, Jasper, Canva, Adobe Express, Asana, ChatGPT, etc.) that enhance efficiency, audience insights, and rapid, on-brand content production at scale.
• Experience in managing agency partners and budgets.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining marketing dashboards and reports—not merely interpreting provided data, but also pulling, cleaning, and structuring it.
• Proficiency with the current tech stack or similar tools, including Salesforce, MailChimp, Webflow, Zapier, Classy, Sendible, as well as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and reporting tools such as Looker Studio or similar.
• Strong passion for VOW for Girls' mission and a commitment to gender equality.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person team meetings.
