This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Lead the implementation of the national expansion strategy, aiming to open around 30 new oral surgery offices each year.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive new-office opening process, which includes site selection, lease execution, design, permitting, construction, equipment installation, licensing, staffing, technology integration, and go-live.
• Create and continuously enhance a standardized, scalable operating model for openings at new locations.
• Set up stage gates, milestones, timelines, playbooks, dashboards, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
• Manage site selection, real estate negotiations, facility design, construction, permitting, inspections, equipment procurement, licensing, IT setup, supply chain logistics, staffing, credentialing, marketing, and operational readiness.
• Foster accountability among internal teams, vendors, contractors, architects, engineers, and other external collaborators without relying on direct reporting lines.
• Oversee 20-40+ simultaneous openings and development initiatives across various states and markets.
• Maintain project timelines, budgets, risk registers, and status reports.
• Implement early-warning systems, escalate critical issues, and provide leadership with actionable recommendations and solutions.
• Develop scalable processes, infrastructure, checklists, templates, workflows, and governance procedures to support rapid national expansion.
• Evaluate project performance and cultivate relationships with contractors, vendors, consultants, and strategic partners.
• Ensure new locations adhere to clinical, operational, regulatory, financial, and patient-readiness standards.
• 7-12+ years of experience in healthcare development, implementation, operations, construction, facilities management, or a related domain.
• Demonstrated success in opening numerous healthcare locations.
• Capability to manage 20-40+ openings annually or equivalent complex, concurrent healthcare development projects.
• Extensive experience in healthcare construction and facilities projects, including tenant improvements, design, architecture, permitting, inspections, contractor management, medical/dental equipment, punch lists, and certificates of occupancy.
• Proven track record in managing the entire healthcare location development lifecycle from site/development planning through to operational go-live.
• Strong comprehension of healthcare regulatory and operational requirements.
• Familiarity with healthcare facility licensing, X-ray/radiation safety, anesthesia and sedation protocols, controlled substances, OSHA regulations, infection control, and clinical/facility compliance.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple states and markets.
• Significant national travel is required.
