VP of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee our primary engineering division, encompassing R&D and application engineering.

• Collaborate closely with QA, Release Management, and DevOps leadership to enhance engineering estimation, quality, delivery predictability, automation, and operational excellence throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

• Responsible for engineering execution, software quality, delivery predictability, operational excellence, engineering estimation precision, and the ongoing advancement of our AI-enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC).

• Create a disciplined, highly predictable engineering team that consistently produces outstanding software quality.

• Formulate and implement multi-year engineering investment strategies aimed at enhancing software quality, developer productivity, platform reliability, operational excellence, and overall business results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in software engineering, including at least 7 years in leadership roles within engineering organizations of increasing size and responsibility.

• Proven success in leading engineering teams responsible for mission-critical enterprise software.

• Experience managing engineering operating budgets, workforce planning, vendor relationships, and prioritizing engineering investments.

• Extensive technical credibility in Microsoft enterprise technologies such as .NET, C#, React, and Oracle.

• Proven hands-on leadership in implementing AI-enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) or similar AI-enhanced software engineering methodologies.

• Experience in integrating AI/ML and intelligent automation into enterprise software products and engineering operations.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing engineering estimation, capacity planning, delivery forecasting, execution predictability, and engineering operational practices.

• Proven ability to establish engineering performance metrics, executive dashboards, and measures that improve predictability, transparency, and accountability.

• Strong expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, quality engineering, release management, and engineering automation.
