This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead Feathr's engineering teams in enhancing, solidifying, and advancing its existing nonprofit marketing platform.
• Collaborate with the CEO to establish the technology vision and operational strategy.
• Elevate execution, mentorship, and process standards alongside technology leads.
• Recognize and prioritize areas of technical debt, performance enhancements, reliability, and customer-facing improvements.
• Foster engineering management capabilities by mentoring and developing technology leads.
• Assess the necessity for formal management roles within the team.
• Supervise the planning and execution of product improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure quality assurance and service readiness.
• Manage budget, performance evaluations, and career growth for technology leads and the wider team.
• Define, monitor, and report on product maturity metrics including defect rates, performance, uptime/reliability, support resolution times, and customer satisfaction.
• Balance customer requirements and support escalations with overarching product priorities.
• Engage daily with Product, Customer Success, Managed Services, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Define and enhance the technical support triage process and stakeholder interactions.
• Allocate limited engineering resources to maximize customer impact.
• Participate in customer calls as necessary to provide a technical perspective.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of engineering processes, decisions, and standards.
• Lead Feathr's transformation in AI by establishing practices and standards related to Claude and agentic AI.
• Over 6 years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
• More than 10 years of formal software development experience.
• Proven experience leading through a mature or steady-state product phase.
• Experience in developing technology leads into engineering managers or establishing a management layer.
• Familiarity with the adoption, rollout, and governance of AI coding tools across engineering teams.
• Experience in managing metrics related to the impact of AI coding tools.
• In-depth knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and development practices.
• A successful track record of improving product quality, performance, or usability within an established codebase.
• Strongly preferred experience in B2B SaaS.
• Experience in MarTech or related verticals is an advantage.
• Comfortable engaging in discussions regarding architecture, code quality, and roadmap planning.
• Excellent communication skills across engineering, executive, and customer-facing audiences.
• Must reside within the United States.
