VP of Engineering – Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the engineering squads that directly engage with end-users, which consist of approximately half of the engineering team.

• Manage technical teams and elevate their performance to the next level.

• Increase engineering capacity in alignment with the company's expanding customer base and market goals.

• Make significant contributions to technical teams while progressing in leadership roles.

• Supervise the software development lifecycles for enterprise applications, utilizing methodologies such as Agile/Scrumban, CI/CD, discovery, design, quality assurance, and support.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to engineers, offering clear direction.

• Address and resolve conflicts among individuals, teams, team leaders, and peers.

• Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering teams through remote collaboration tools.

• Travel occasionally to engage with the team and the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in managing technical teams and enhancing their capabilities.

• Hands-on technical leadership with substantial contributions to technical teams while advancing in leadership positions.

• Experience with distributed computing environments.

• Extensive knowledge of the cloud ecosystem.

• Significant experience in enterprise software development lifecycles.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially Scrumban.

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, discovery, design, quality assurance, and support.

• Strong abilities in mentoring and coaching.

• Capability to manage and resolve conflicts among individuals, teams, team leaders, and peers.

• High attention to detail and dependable communication skills.

• Openness to periodic travel.

• Ability to maintain a balance between work and personal life in a senior leadership role.
