VP of Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of delivery results across the portfolio, focusing on quality, client satisfaction, timely delivery, and engagement-level gross margin.

• Implement the pod model by managing capacity planning, staffing, and utilization to balance billable leverage with a sustainable pace.

• Develop and maintain the agentic delivery operating system, which includes the internal platform of agents, accelerators, and playbooks that enhance Climb’s delivery leverage with each engagement. Define its roadmap, allocate resources, and oversee its deployment.

• Measure delivery effectiveness using concrete metrics (margin per pod, revenue per practitioner, delivery predictability, cycle time) and manage the organization accordingly.

• Create and enforce quality systems, including engagement health reviews, QA gates, and an escalation process that addresses issues before they reach clients.

• Collaborate with sales on scoping, estimation, and pricing strategies to secure profitable work.

• Recruit and nurture Engagement Leads, technical leads, and practice talent; design growth pathways that allow top performers to progress without adding unnecessary management layers.

• Standardize Climb's delivery approach into a repeatable methodology and reusable intellectual property that enhances the quality of every engagement.

• Act as the executive sponsor and final escalation point for key strategic accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in professional services or consulting delivery, including more than 5 years managing a delivery organization with P&L responsibility.

• Proven history of managing service economics at scale, including utilization, realization, and gross margin across a multi-engagement portfolio of $20M+ in service revenue or 50+ practitioners.

• Strong technical credibility in data and AI; you have successfully delivered data platforms, machine learning, or applied AI programs and can engage effectively with principal engineers.

• Experience in building internal tools, enablement, or delivery platforms; you view delivery capability as a product rather than just documentation.

• Proficient in AI-assisted development and agentic tooling; you possess well-formed, current opinions on what agents can accomplish in a delivery setting, based on practical usage.

• Experience in scaling a services organization during periods of rapid growth while maintaining quality and margins.
