VP of Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the strategic drive for AI innovation and value generation throughout the organization

• Propel AI transformation, enhance enterprise AI literacy, formulate AI strategies, develop AI capabilities, participative operating frameworks, and governance protocols

• Create and uphold a vision for how AI contributes value in alignment with strategic goals

• Collaborate with board members, corporate executives, business leaders, and other stakeholders

• Develop a world-class AI strategy and organization that aligns with the overarching enterprise vision

• Set objectives and evaluate AI initiatives

• Promote collaboration and cross-organizational alignment regarding the enterprise AI vision

• Build internal and external AI ecosystems involving vendors, partners, research institutes, regulators, and industry associations

• Guide and implement ambitious product roadmaps to boost growth

• Lead the AI governance board

• Advance responsible AI policies and governance programs that address data usage, model transparency, fairness, privacy, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards

• Coordinate with security, risk, compliance, legal, ethics, safety, and other relevant stakeholders

• Establish clear AI portfolio evaluation and management practices to assess business value and ROI

• Promote AI literacy across the organization and spearhead transformation and change management initiatives

• Define operational models and delivery capabilities for developing and implementing scalable AI initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred in artificial intelligence or data science

• Over 10 years of business experience, ideally in information or technology management, with recent roles at or near the executive level

• Ideally possess some independent P&L responsibilities

• At least five years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams

• Minimum of five years of experience defining and leading enterprise-wide programs or initiatives

• Five or more years of AI experience in information-heavy industries or digitally advanced organizations

• Five or more years leading AI engineering, software engineering, and/or advanced data science projects

• Experience in designing and delivering adaptive or intelligent solutions

• Experience coordinating AI platforms and utilizing AI embedded within enterprise applications

• Preferably have ten or more years in software engineering

• Strong grasp of software development methodologies, best practices, relevant tools, and platforms

• Experience in innovating and creating new channels, business models, or business transformations

• Proven track record in fostering enterprise change and leading technology-driven transformation programs

• Experience in strategy and management consulting, with knowledge across multiple industries and verticals is a plus

• Experience with building architecture on AWS or Azure

• Familiarity with modern databases, cloud environments, and data ecosystems

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and data protection laws and regulations, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, and CCPA
