This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Establish and oversee the strategy for the rare disease portfolio.
β’ Convert market demands and client pipelines into priorities for growth, service differentiation, and investment decisions.
β’ Facilitate high-level executive client interactions, governance meetings, advisory panels, and bid defenses.
β’ Define medical and scientific quality benchmarks across proposals, development strategies, protocol approaches, regulatory alignment, and trial support.
β’ Influence strategic partnerships and external thought leadership in the realm of rare diseases.
β’ Collaborate with commercial, consulting, operations, regulatory, feasibility, and clinical leaders to translate scientific strategies into quantifiable results.
β’ Enhance organizational capabilities by guiding physicians and scientists.
β’ Champion innovation and cross-functional projects that broaden offerings and enhance decision-making quality.
β’ MD is required.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, directing rare disease clinical development programs.
β’ Proven experience in advancing at least one asset from the discovery phase to registration.
β’ Recognized as a therapeutic expert and a peer among medical and scientific professionals in the pharmaceutical industry.
β’ Strong enterprise-level therapeutic strategy, portfolio judgment, and business insight.
β’ Capability to link scientific decisions to commercial, operational, and growth outcomes.
β’ Proficiency in establishing standards, governance, and scalable operations across various regions, functions, and client portfolios.
β’ Exceptional ability to influence within complex matrix environments.
β’ Strong talent development skills.
β’ Capacity to navigate ambiguity, manage substantial risks, and make decisions that impact the enterprise.
β’ Drive for innovation, ongoing improvement, and market differentiation.
β’ Proficient in both spoken and written English.
β’ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
