This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Lead the enterprise vision, multi-year roadmap, and operating model for technology operations.
• Own the portfolio encompassing Operations technology, automation, workflow transformation, and global operations initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive business cases, prioritize and sequence initiatives, recommend funding, and oversee executive governance.
• Establish decision rights, accountability, and collaboration methods across Operations, Technology, Product, Data, Implementation, Finance, Information Security, Compliance, and global vendor partners.
• Translate business strategies and service line needs into enterprise capability, capacity, and delivery requirements.
• Sponsor workflow redesign and standardization initiatives across onshore and global operations teams.
• Set portfolio goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, quality, cost-to-serve, cycle time, utilization, vendor performance, client outcomes, and return on investment (ROI).
• Report results and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Lead, develop, and hold Technology Operations leadership teams accountable.
• Delegate daily responsibilities for technology adoption, global production, inventory coordination, vendor team support, and performance management execution.
• Collaborate with Technology, Product, and Data leaders on architecture, product roadmaps, integration capacity, data availability, and delivery constraints.
• Maintain executive oversight of governance, continuity, regulatory and contractual controls, information security, data protection, third-party performance, and change risk.
• Sponsor pilot programs and phased rollouts; establish readiness and scaling criteria; make data-informed decisions regarding expansion, revision, pause, or retirement.
• Cultivate a continuous improvement culture utilizing performance data, frontline feedback, client insights, and market developments.
• Report directly to the Executive Vice President, Operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, information systems, engineering, or a related field is required.
• An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
• Over 12 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, healthcare operations, technology-enabled services, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience at the senior director or vice president level.
• Proven success in building and leading an enterprise technology operations, digital transformation, automation, or operational excellence portfolio with measurable business outcomes.
• Demonstrated success in leading operational change within a services- or operations-heavy business.
• Experience managing a technology-led workflow redesign transformation from pilot through multi-team rollout to achieve measured results.
• Familiarity with task-level planning, dependency and gate management, and delivering on executive-visibility programs within budget.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including complex claims, denials, reimbursement, revenue recovery, or related workflows.
• Experience governing cross-functional portfolios within a matrixed organization.
• Proven ability to partner with Technology, Product, Data, Information Security, Finance, and Operations leaders.
• Financial and analytical expertise, including business case development, investment prioritization, KPI design, benefits realization, and executive-level reporting.
• Experience in directing outsourced or global delivery partnerships is preferred.
