VP, Impact Strategy – Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Lead business development initiatives, establish research partnerships, and oversee programs focused on impact.

• Supervise a team responsible for comprehensive business development throughout the health program portfolio.

• Create and maintain a pipeline of family offices and funders aligned with effective altruism principles.

• Represent the organization at relevant events and convenings on external platforms.

• Direct the development of strategies across the various impact areas of Maisha Meds.

• Manage cost-effectiveness modeling to aid in program investment cases.

• Establish and nurture research partnerships with academic institutions.

• Oversee the creation of materials for funders, including concept notes, proposals, and pitch decks.

• Ensure team accountability for the entire portfolio of impact programs.

• Develop, manage, and mentor a high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in global health, development finance, or a closely related discipline.

• Previous experience in a blended organization that integrates software, data, and service delivery.

• Strong familiarity with funders aligned with Effective Altruism and family offices.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Proficient writer and communicator.

• Experience in managing relationships with funders post-award.

• Proven ability to work across functions and develop systems and teams.

• Background in or substantial knowledge of at least one core health area: malaria, HIV, TB, vision, or clinical AI.

• Comfortable working across sub-Saharan Africa.
