This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement a robust marketing strategy for the mortgage division that aligns with the company’s objectives and growth targets.
• Act as the main marketing authority for the mortgage lending division, offering strategic guidance and innovative thinking.
• Develop yearly marketing plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators.
• Identify emerging market prospects, customer behaviors, and competitive challenges.
• Report on marketing performance, strategic updates, and business insights to executive leadership.
• Enhance and safeguard the mortgage division's brand presence across all customer and partner interactions.
• Ensure uniformity in messaging, visual identity, and customer experience.
• Create compelling value propositions and establish distinct market positioning for mortgage products and services.
• Manage reputation and brand awareness efforts.
• Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns aimed at increasing mortgage applications and funded loan volume.
• Optimize various marketing channels, including digital advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), social media, email marketing, content marketing, events, and direct marketing.
• Collaborate with sales leaders to produce high-quality leads and enhance conversion rates.
• Formulate strategies to boost purchase mortgage business, refinance prospects, and retention initiatives.
• Supervise digital marketing strategy, including website optimization, SEO, SEM, social media, analytics, and marketing automation.
• Improve customer journey mapping and lead nurturing initiatives.
• Leverage customer data and analytics to enhance engagement, conversion rates, and client satisfaction.
• Propel innovation in digital customer experiences and mortgage marketing technologies.
• Work with product and business leaders to devise marketing strategies for new products and services.
• Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive evaluations.
• Assist geographic expansion and new market entry strategies.
• Design targeted segmentation strategies for homebuyers, homeowners, real estate agents, builders, and referral partners.
• Build, guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing marketing team.
• Set clear objectives, accountability standards, and professional development plans.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance-driven results.
• Manage internal teams, agencies, consultants, and vendor partnerships.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measures of marketing effectiveness.
• Monitor campaign success, return on investment (ROI), customer acquisition costs, and conversion metrics.
• Use data insights to optimize expenditures and improve business performance.
• Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations.
• Ensure all marketing activities adhere to relevant federal, state, and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to review marketing materials and campaigns.
• Maintain compliance with consumer protection, advertising, fair lending, privacy, and disclosure regulations.
• Advocate for ethical marketing practices and regulatory compliance throughout the division.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) is preferred.
• Over twelve (12+) years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
• More than seven (7+) years of experience leading marketing teams in mortgage banking, consumer lending, financial services, or banking sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully driving customer acquisition, lead generation, and brand development.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and facilitate organizational change.
