This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska, +2 more states.
• Deliver strategic leadership, direction, and execution for the development of new products and ongoing management of non-medical insurance offerings, such as Absence, Disability, Life, and other Worksite products.
• Supervise the complete product life cycle, encompassing strategic planning, prioritization, product launch, implementation, and post-launch evaluation.
• Establish and advance department strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the broader Product Solutions and GP strategy.
• Facilitate portfolio-level decision-making by merging financial performance with customer needs, broker dynamics, and operational factors.
• Collaborate with pricing and business line leaders to convert financial performance into actionable insights that foster balanced growth and sustainable margin attainment.
• Offer specialized expertise to internal stakeholders through an in-depth understanding of enterprise-wide risk exposures and attributes of new product development.
• Develop persuasive business rationales and present recommendations to executives, contributing to the creation of significant business initiatives, including new products and innovative development efforts.
• Promote cross-enterprise collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure targeted distribution and competitive positioning of products and services in the market.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Enablement, IT, and other operational areas to support high-quality development and implementation of technology solutions.
• 12+ years of experience in Group Benefits, including product development and/or product management.
• 5+ years of experience in management, strategy, and influencing senior management or critical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in building and executing product roadmaps.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree).
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in Product Development and Management.
• In-depth understanding of Group Protection Absence, PFML, and Statutory products.
• Comprehensive awareness of best practices from other service providers within competitive benefits offerings.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret key financial metrics such as loss ratios, expense ratios, margin contributions, and lifetime value to guide product and portfolio decisions.
• Demonstrated capability to successfully recruit, retain, develop, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of real-time performance feedback while enhancing both technical and leadership skills.
• Proven strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., senior/executive management, peers, and colleagues) and the ability to devise creative and collaborative approaches.
