This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and spearhead the global data and insights strategy, ensuring regional implementation aligns with the company's overarching priorities and long-term growth goals.
• Build, lead, and motivate a global team of data, modeling, and analytics professionals across various regions.
• Foster a high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and ongoing development.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Insights, and Go-to-Market to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
• Drive decisions on investments, resource allocation, and organizational design to enhance global data capabilities.
• Oversee the global development, standardization, and delivery of simulation-ready datasets within PLEXOS.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and scalability of datasets across regions while upholding best-in-class quality standards.
• Advocate for the adoption of advanced technologies, including AI/ML, to improve modeling capabilities and data efficiency.
• Guide the evolution of datasets related to electricity, gas, hydrogen, and emerging energy sectors, factoring in decarbonization trends and market innovations.
• Work closely with Product teams to seamlessly integrate data into platform features, Insights, and Playbook offerings.
• Establish and enforce global data governance frameworks, standards, and validation processes.
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and compliance across all markets and datasets.
• Promote continuous improvement in data pipelines, tools, and methodologies to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Engage with key global customers and partners to understand their evolving modeling and forecasting needs.
• Translate customer requirements into strategic data roadmaps and product enhancements.
• Assist commercial teams in high-impact engagements, such as executive briefings, proposals, and strategic deals.
• 15+ years of experience in data, modeling, analytics, or related fields in the energy, utilities, or technology sectors, with significant leadership experience at regional or global levels.
• Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performing, geographically distributed teams, with the ability to influence across multiple leadership layers.
• Extensive knowledge of global energy markets, including electricity, gas, and emerging sectors like hydrogen and renewables, with a solid understanding of market dynamics, trading structures, and regulatory environments.
• Proven experience in energy market modeling, preferably with PLEXOS or similar simulation platforms, along with strong knowledge of supply/demand fundamentals, capacity planning, and price formation.
• Strong strategic capabilities with experience in defining and executing global data strategies, including governance, standardization, and operational scaling.
• Experience in driving data innovation through the application of AI/ML, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance data quality, efficiency, and insight generation.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience in executive-level partnerships both internally and with customers.
• Commercially savvy, able to convert customer needs into scalable data products and support revenue growth initiatives.
• Strong leadership presence capable of representing the organization externally as a thought leader in energy data and analytics.
• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Energy Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
