This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as AGent's primary authority (both internally and externally) on U.S. wholesale energy markets β PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISONE, ERCOT, and beyond.
β’ Collaborate with the CEO and GTM leadership to create AGent's market prioritization strategy β determining where to compete, the timing for entering new markets, and how to optimize portfolio value.
β’ Utilize market expertise for commercial execution: assist the sales team in understanding program economics, conveying value to prospects, and positioning AGent effectively in the market.
β’ Identify and prioritize regulatory challenges across target markets β evaluating which barriers pose the highest risk to commercial opportunities and formulating a clear strategy for overcoming them.
β’ Keep track of regulatory changes across ISO/RTOs and interpret their implications into strategic recommendations for the leadership team.
β’ Engage proactively with ISO/RTO and utility stakeholders to influence regulatory policies and forge relationships that enhance AGent's market access and positioning.
β’ Manage the complete lifecycle of MW participation across all AGent markets: registration, offer management, dispatch operations, and settlement.
β’ Develop and implement internal protocols that align AGent's operations with the tariffs and operational guidelines of each ISO/RTO in which we participate.
β’ Ensure that 100% of MW are registered, validated, and operational prior to every seasonal commencement.
β’ Take charge of program milestone delivery and all associated operational deadlines.
β’ Create or acquire the tools and technologies necessary to achieve operational excellence across market operations.
β’ Lead and nurture the Energy Markets team: establishing a high standard for rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Dispatch & Customer Operations, and GTM to ensure that all systems, data flows, and customer-facing processes are cohesive and mutually beneficial.
β’ Partner with the VP of Product & Engineering to ensure that the platform roadmap aligns with market operational needs and regulatory requirements.
β’ Support the GTM team with market intelligence, program economics tools, and materials for prospects that enhance the sales process.
β’ Oversee data acquisition, analysis, and management across AGent's market portfolio.
β’ Lead load modeling and performance forecasting to optimize MW earnings across various programs.
β’ Establish and maintain metrics and KPIs that provide leadership with real-time insights into market performance, portfolio health, and progress toward strategic objectives.
β’ Promote continuous improvement in offer optimization, settlement accuracy, and overall market performance.
β’ Extensive, hands-on experience in U.S. wholesale energy markets β you have operated within ISO/RTO markets.
β’ Proven experience in registering MW with grid operators and managing the entire participation lifecycle across multiple markets.
β’ Strong understanding of ISO/RTO tariffs, operational procedures, and the regulatory frameworks governing wholesale market participation.
β’ Experience in developing internal operational protocols and systems that scale effectively across markets and teams.
β’ Commercially minded β you can link market knowledge to business strategy, sales execution, and growth priorities.
β’ Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
β’ Proficient in Python and SQL β comfortable working with data at a technical level; experience with Snowflake and Sigma is a plus.
β’ Exceptional communication skills β capable of presenting to a board, briefing the sales team, and engaging with an ISO policy team with equal credibility.
β’ 5+ years of experience in wholesale energy market operations, system implementation, or a closely related field.
