VP, Data Center Construction

📋 Description

• Assemble and guide a construction management team comprised of experienced professionals who are passionate about developing the next generation of infrastructure.

• Oversee and manage all stages of data center construction, starting from initial feasibility and site selection to design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

• Supervise the successful execution of data center programs ranging from 10 to GW+.

• Collaborate with the internal Infrastructure Engineering team to ensure technical alignment with the program’s basis of design (BoD).

• Assess and confirm the designs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, switchgear, and generator setups.

• Guarantee that all facilities are designed and built to meet or surpass environmental and energy-efficiency standards, achieving optimal Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and long-term operational sustainability.

• Ensure that all fit-out and construction-related Non-Recurring Costs (NRCs) are strictly controlled, accurately projected, and consistent with approved program budgets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in leading hyperscale data center construction programs.

• Extensive knowledge of large-scale electrical and mechanical systems, power distribution, and liquid cooling technologies.

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale GPU and AI data center deployments, particularly with high-density liquid-cooled infrastructure.

• Direct experience collaborating with data center operators and construction partners to ensure alignment on program and project plans to effectively drive, execute, and achieve desired outcomes.

• Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and critical load infrastructure.

• Familiarity with various cooling technologies suitable for different climate zones.

• Established relationships with leading manufacturers and construction firms in the industry.
