• Establish the Brand Vision: Define and enhance how Vanta presents itself across all touchpoints. Ensure the brand remains consistent, unique, and distinctly differentiated in Creative, Content & Social, and Communications.
• Lead Creative Initiatives: Develop and expand a top-tier creative organization encompassing brand design, advertising, web, video, motion, and production. Set the visual and experiential benchmarks for Vanta. Cultivate robust second-line leadership while upholding a high standard of craftsmanship. Embrace innovative AI tools to continually gain a competitive advantage.
• Oversee Content & Social: Manage Vanta’s voice, editorial strategy, and presence across owned channels. Create programming that captures attention and encourages sharing, ranging from short-form videos to data-driven narratives. Establish a definitive perspective on emerging trends and how Vanta integrates into cultural conversations. Ensure Vanta remains relevant and compelling.
• Direct Communications: Manage Vanta’s external narrative across media, analysts, and industry influencers. Enhance narrative ownership and voice share within our category. Broaden earned media outreach and establish a sustainable executive thought leadership platform.
• Generate measurable brand impact: Develop a brand engine that stimulates demand, boosts awareness, and links investments to pipeline and revenue through clear leading indicators.
• Design unique in-person experiences: Curate Vanta’s presence at events, conferences, and experiential engagements, including our flagship conference and significant industry events like RSA.
• Innovate and scale: Experiment with bold creative concepts across new formats and channels. Transform successful initiatives into repeatable systems and playbooks.
• Collaborate with leadership: Partner closely with the CMO, CEO, and cross-functional leaders in Growth, Product Marketing, and Product to ensure brand initiatives support business objectives.
• Possess 15+ years of brand and creative leadership experience, preferably in rapidly growing B2B SaaS or technical consumer sectors.
• Have led multiple distinct yet interconnected functions such as Creative, Content, Social, and Communications, with the ability to unify them under a cohesive strategy.
• Be a skilled narrative creator and storyteller, capable of transforming complex subjects like security and trust into compelling narratives that are clear, urgent, and relatable. Know when to employ a meme, a manifesto, or a metric to drive impact.
• Have built and scaled high-performing teams, including developing second-line leadership.
• Have advanced brands for enterprise audiences while maintaining humanity, sharpness, and cultural relevance.
• Present a portfolio that demonstrates creative excellence linked to business outcomes.
• Hold a clear perspective on social dynamics and understand how brands capture attention in today's landscape.
• Have experience leading or closely collaborating with communications teams to craft narratives that garner media, analyst, and influencer interest.
• Grasp how brand and performance marketing synergize and can be aligned for growth.
• Possess both strategic and operational capabilities, able to set direction and establish processes for execution.
• Have a background in managing internal teams, agencies, and external collaborators.
• Be an outstanding communicator who can motivate teams and influence executives.
• Demonstrate strong cross-functional instincts and a history of successful collaboration with Growth, Product Marketing, Product, and Design teams.
• Show curiosity about security, compliance, and the future of trust, with a commitment to modernizing these topics and making them relevant.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Be responsible for safeguarding Vanta and customer data in team operations and result delivery.
• Be open to utilizing AI to enhance skills and strengthen outputs, showcasing curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in responsibly applying AI to boost efficiency and impact.
