This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for commercial systems, data infrastructure, and customer engagement platforms.
• Develop the next-generation customer engagement "Engine," achieving measurable enhancements in customer acquisition, retention, ARPU, and EBITDA.
• Foster robust relationships with stakeholders ranging from the board to practitioners, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives that drive digital transformation.
• Integrate data functions by unifying data infrastructure, establishing self-service BI capabilities, and optimizing teams to align data and analytics efforts with commercial, product, and CX goals.
• Advocate for the transition to an integrated commercial and product strategy by empowering functional teams with self-service capabilities and delivering more high-value algorithmic work through AI/ML.
• Build and expand a high-performing team of approximately 25 FTEs and consultants, including resources for Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science.
• Spearhead the transformation of the Data organization into a value-driven model that supports commercial, digital product, and customer experience domains.
• Guide the team's evolution from basic support to a mature omnichannel enablement organization that leverages data and insights to drive revenue, EBITDA, and NPS.
• Develop a leadership structure across Data and Engine functions through internal promotions, role re-definition, and strategic hiring to establish scalability and accountability for stakeholders.
• Nurture a culture of value delivery, transparency, and accountability, while promoting iterative improvement, enhanced operational rigor, and prioritization of high-value ML innovation work.
• Oversee the modernization of enterprise-wide data infrastructure, BI, analytics, and data science tools, focusing on migration, consolidation, and standardization of tools and vendors.
• Ensure alignment of BI, analytics, and Data Science initiatives with business objectives, utilizing continuous testing and optimization to augment customer and enterprise value.
• Guarantee alignment between commercial technology initiatives and the customer-facing product roadmap, software development, and integration efforts.
• Collaborate with external vendors such as Salesforce, AWS, and implementation partners to provide cost-effective solutions while upholding strategic direction and execution quality.
• Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, COO for Online, COO for Campus, and SVP Product to ensure the smooth execution of commercial technology strategies.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and partner leadership to align technology with operational objectives, while addressing resistance and driving adoption.
• Present strategies and outcomes to executive leadership and the Board, utilizing data and analysis to foster consensus and drive decision-making.
• 15+ years of progressive tech leadership experience, including 7+ years in senior management roles.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, full-lifecycle digital transformation initiatives and platform consolidations in both B2B and B2C environments, managing internal teams and external partners.
• Background in merging disparate systems and teams, focusing on enabling personalized customer experiences for omnichannel, multi-product customer acquisition and retention.
• Demonstrated track record of leading and executing technology and data-specific transformation initiatives that deliver significant measurable impact.
• Senior-level leadership experience across high-growth entrepreneurial environments and organizations undergoing significant corporate development changes.
• Hands-on experience guiding teams in creating business leverage (Revenue, EBITDA, NPS) by utilizing commercial technology and customer engagement platforms to strategically grow and scale these capabilities.
• Proven ability in building and scaling high-performing technical and business-facing teams.
• In-depth understanding of the modern data stack and its application for BI, Analytics, and Data Science in commercial and product scenarios, with a history of successful large-scale implementations.
• Demonstrated success in partnering with boards, C-level executives, and cross-functional implementation teams, effectively navigating resistance and securing buy-in from stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, emphasizing brevity, clarity, and data-driven persuasion.
• Industry experience in education, B2C, or consumer-facing products/services is required.
