This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Take ownership of and spearhead client development efforts within the Southeast Region.
• Identify, qualify, and engage potential clients while reactivating dormant accounts.
• Lead the development of proposals, including defining scope, establishing pricing strategies, selecting teams, and delivering presentations.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams to create technically robust and commercially viable proposals.
• Facilitate client presentations, bid defenses, and negotiations regarding scope.
• Develop and maintain case studies, capability statements, and other pursuit-related materials.
• Conduct consultative selling and discovery discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
• Transform technical and operational requirements into compelling proposals and value propositions.
• Drive the acquisition of new logos and convert prospects in sectors such as pharma, biotech, cell and gene therapy, and advanced manufacturing.
• Meet annual bookings and revenue goals while maintaining a qualified sales pipeline.
• Perform win/loss analyses to enhance conversion rates.
• Collaborate with client engagement, regional, practice, delivery, and marketing teams.
• Mentor members of the business development team and assist with commercial playbooks and sales enablement tools.
• Represent Project Farma at conferences, trade shows, professional associations, and networking events.
• Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, panels, white papers, and social media.
• Keep abreast of competitive, market, regulatory, and client trends.
• Maintain pipeline data in Salesforce CRM and perform sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline reviews.
• Engage in weekly business development meetings and commercial planning.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in CQV engineering, cGMP facility start-up, project management, or comparable military service.
• Over 20 years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or technical consulting.
• Strong grasp of regulatory environments, R&D processes, manufacturing, and commercialization.
• Proven history of managing accounts exceeding $10M with complex stakeholder ecosystems.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales leadership, or client-facing roles within consulting or professional services.
• Ability to integrate market trends, client requirements, and internal capabilities into actionable strategies.
• Extensive experience in consultative selling, contract negotiation, and value-based pricing.
• Familiarity with delivery models, project governance, and metrics for professional services performance.
• Experience with CRM/PSA platforms, data visualization tools, and collaboration technologies.
• Preferred experience with Salesforce and/or Kantata.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–75% or as needed.

• Preferred: advanced degree in engineering, life sciences, or business.
• Preferred: experience in consulting or life sciences project delivery.
• Preferred: established professional network in pharmaceutical, biotech, or cell and gene therapy sectors.
• Preferred: experience in value-based or solution selling.
• Preferred: active involvement in organizations such as ISPE, PDA, or RAPS.
