This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the appointed Chief Appraiser for ValuationNEXUS.
• Supervise review operations for the Valuations division and initiatives related to real estate analytics.
• Create and implement appraisal review policies, escalation protocols, and safeguards for independence.
• Ensure adherence to USPAP, FIRREA, Interagency Guidelines, and AMC regulations.
• Lead quality control efforts for portfolios related to residential and small commercial business purposes.
• Manage processes for reconsideration of value and resolution of disputes.
• Provide internal training focused on quality standards, risk mitigation, and updates on regulations.
• Collaborate with compliance and legal departments during audits and investigations.
• Drive strategic planning and process development for Valuations.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence within the Valuations team.
• Develop and execute regulatory and compliance frameworks in conjunction with Compliance and the Managing Director.
• Oversee the creation and adherence to new policies and procedures for Valuations.
• Lead the enhancement of the ValuationNEXUS product and technology suite.
• Act as a subject matter expert during audits and regulatory reviews across active jurisdictions.
• Manage the hiring, training, performance management, and termination processes within Valuations.
• Participate in valuation committee meetings aimed at enterprise risk mitigation.
• Oversee vendor management associated with Valuation operations.
• Collaborate with CV3 Financials’ sales organization and deal desk regarding valuations.
• Partner with the post-funding Valuation Analyst on transactional due diligence and portfolio valuation.
• Safeguard confidential and sensitive personal, loan, business, financial, and proprietary information.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate valuation.
• At least 5 years in leadership roles such as appraisal leadership or Chief Appraiser positions.
• Experience in both Appraisal Management and Lending Organizations is preferred.
• A Certified Residential Appraiser License is required.
• Certification as a Certified General Appraiser is preferred.
• Multi-state licensing is necessary.
• Project management certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience with short sales and REOs is beneficial.
• SRA designation or an equivalent certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Knowledge of title insurance is advantageous.
• Strongly recommended knowledge of the entire loan lifecycle, including loan sales, servicing, and asset management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• In-depth understanding of USPAP and valuation methodologies is required.
• Financial analysis skills are preferred.
