This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• New Partner Acquisition — Take charge of the complete business development process for acquiring new bank and credit union partners, focusing on prospecting, outreach, discovery, proposal, and closure; with a primary emphasis on Tier 2 and Tier 3 banks and mid-sized credit unions.
• Pipeline Management — Create and oversee a structured business development pipeline in Salesforce; ensure precise forecasting, activity tracking, and stage advancement; provide weekly updates on pipeline status to the CGSO.
• RFP Leadership — Direct FM's responses to formal RFPs from potential financial institution partners; manage the response process by coordinating with product, marketing, compliance, and legal teams.
• Partner Onboarding Handoff — Manage the transition from signed agreements to operational launch, collaborating with Brokerage Operations and Channel Marketing to guarantee quick and successful partner activation.
• Market Intelligence — Monitor the competitive landscape, trends in financial institution insurance programs, and regulatory changes affecting banks and credit unions; relay market insights back to the CGSO and product teams to guide strategy.
• Carrier Relationship Support — Work alongside the Brokerage Leader to maintain effective relationships with key carrier partners, particularly where these relationships impact partner acquisition strategies or product availability.
• Tier 2/3 Bank Strategy — Implement FM's strategic focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 banks by developing a target list, activation playbook, and prospect engagement model for this market segment.
• 5+ years of experience in B2B business development or partnerships, specifically within financial services or insurance distribution.
• Proven success in closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with banks or credit unions.
• Comfort in selling to executive teams within banks and credit unions, including compliance, retail banking, wealth, and operations stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Salesforce is essential; disciplined pipeline management is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent FM effectively in formal RFP processes.
• Self-motivated, with a hunter mentality; this role does not include a warm lead queue.
• Preferred: Experience in selling insurance programs, financial products, or fintech solutions to financial institutions.
• Established network of relationships within banks and/or credit unions at the VP or C-suite level.
• Understanding of affinity insurance distribution, NCUA incidental powers, or financial institution-affiliated insurance programs.
• Familiarity with personal lines property and casualty products, including auto, home, and renters insurance.
