This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Operate telecommunications telephone console systems along with related equipment to manage vital communications.

• Receive and filter incoming and outgoing calls, determine appropriate routing, provide information on system usage, and assist with inquiries related to the Foundation directory.

• Initiate and document outgoing local, long-distance, and international calls for doctors and hospital staff.

• Direct requests for conference calls from hospital personnel to the appropriate conference company.

• Assist patients with dialing instructions, placing calls, and responding to their questions.

• Provide overhead and long-distance paging services to the FHC and external callers.

• Conduct group alert tests twice daily.

• Facilitate medical emergency and crisis intervention procedures utilizing paging systems and established protocols.

• Aid staff with out-of-service pages by making program adjustments using paging systems.

• Manage calls using SL1 auxiliary telephone backup systems, messaging technology, and alpha units.

• Assist personnel in reaching on-call physicians and other on-call staff.

• Contact on-call physicians to connect outside callers with medical assistance and relevant services.

• Operate various systems and facsimile equipment.

• Send domestic and international telegrams using telex format on CRT.

• Receive, log, and dispatch incoming telex and facsimile communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must be residents of Northeast Ohio.

• High School Diploma is required.

• At least 1 year of Call Center or telephone operator experience, or a minimum of 2 years in Customer Service is necessary.

• Experience in the Health Care sector or a related field is preferred.

• Must be able to perform tasks while stationed in a fixed position for extended durations.

• Proficiency in operating a computer and other office equipment is essential.

• Must be willing to travel within the hospital system.

• Capable of communicating and exchanging accurate information effectively.

• In certain locations, the ability to lift up to 10 pounds is required.

• Adhere to standard precautions by using personal protective equipment as needed.

• Employment offers will be contingent upon testing for controlled substances.

• Compliance with the influenza prevention program is mandatory, including annual vaccination or an approved exemption.
