Lead Communications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement communication strategies and execution plans for internal, employee, and change communications.

• Assist in the editorial process from conception to delivery for company documents, communications, and content associated with various projects or initiatives.

• Facilitate change strategy by executing communications that support strategic initiatives.

• Create comprehensive communications and best practices to aid in organizational transformation.

• Draft, review, and edit emails, newsletters, promotional materials, and other communications in line with communication or marketing strategies.

• Oversee the editorial process from inception to delivery in collaboration with internal partners.

• Identify and analyze content-related metrics.

• Design, review, and edit department and partner/client content for accuracy, appropriateness, readability, and alignment with brand standards.

• Produce deliverables for internal awareness, engagement, education, and incentive initiatives.

• Create materials and coordinate or implement changes for internal websites.

• Develop, execute, and sustain related internal media channels.

• Collaborate with leadership on communication strategies that support Health Plan, Product, and Shared Services alignment along with enterprise transformation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in communications or marketing.

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, email creation/sending platforms, and Microsoft Suite (PPT, Excel, Forms, and Word).

• Experience in change management communications.

• Background working within a matrix organization.

• Exceptional writing capabilities.

• Strong strategic thinking skills.

• Excellent project management abilities.

• Capacity to oversee multiple projects/workstreams concurrently.

• Experience in cross-functional team collaboration.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear communications for diverse audiences.

• Proactive attitude towards assigned workstreams and projects.

• Early identification of potential gaps.

• Candidates from Eastern, Central, and Mountain Time Zones are strongly preferred.

• Certifications in storytelling and Prosci (ADKAR Model) are advantageous but not required.
