This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Formulate and implement territory business plans aimed at achieving and surpassing sales targets within the vitreoretinal portfolio.
• Recognize and secure new business prospects while enhancing relationships with current customers.
• Establish strategic alliances with vitreoretinal consultants, theater teams, procurement stakeholders, and hospital decision-makers.
• Promote product adoption and procedural usage through customer education, clinical support, and discussions on commercial value.
• Identify and nurture opportunities for capital equipment placement and market growth.
• Assist customers in the integration and acceptance of new technologies and surgical innovations.
• Collect and relay customer insights, market intelligence, and competitor activities to aid in business planning and portfolio strategy.
• Organize and coordinate local educational meetings, workshops, and customer events in alignment with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to enhance customer experiences and achieve business outcomes.
• Keep precise records of territory activities, sales plans, and administrative tasks for efficient territory management.
• Represent Alcon with professionalism, embodying the company’s values and commitment to excellence.
• Proven track record in medical device sales, secondary healthcare, surgical sales, or capital equipment sales.
• Established ability to cultivate and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Strong skills in commercial negotiations and territory management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to influence and engage healthcare stakeholders at all levels.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload independently.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and sound business judgment.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
• Background in ophthalmology, vitreoretinal surgery, or related surgical fields is preferred.
• Experience in selling high-value medical consumables and/or capital equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with NHS procurement processes and key account management principles is preferred.
• Ability to confidently discuss surgical workflows, clinical outcomes, and product benefits with healthcare professionals is preferred.
• A degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal); additional European languages are a plus.
• Strategic account planning and territory management experience.
