Visual Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the visual design strategy across digital products, platforms, and user experiences.

• Guide, mentor, and provide creative direction to visual designers throughout the design workflow.

• Develop, enhance, and sustain scalable design systems and reusable UI components.

• Transform product and platform objectives into cohesive, high-quality visual experiences.

• Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to balance user requirements, business objectives, and technical considerations.

• Employ systems thinking to manage detailed UI execution and broader product ecosystems.

• Ensure consistency, accessibility, usability, and quality throughout the user experience.

• Lead projects from concept to execution while upholding the visual vision and design integrity.

• Articulate design decisions, explain trade-offs, and provide clear justifications to clients and stakeholders.

• Set design direction, review work, and offer constructive feedback on deliverables.

• Collaborate within Agile, fast-paced, and remote settings.

• Engage in learning, collaboration, and ongoing creative enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in designing digital products across web, mobile, and responsive platforms.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring visual design teams, providing creative guidance, and establishing design standards.

• Strong proficiency in developing, evolving, and maintaining scalable Design Systems and reusable UI components.

• Experience collaborating on complex product ecosystems with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.

• Excellent systems thinking, capable of balancing detailed UI execution with overarching product and platform goals.

• Deep understanding of interaction design, accessibility, usability, and user-centered design principles.

• Ability to clearly convey design decisions, articulate trade-offs, and exhibit ownership throughout the design process.

• Proven experience guiding projects from concept to execution while ensuring high visual quality and consistency.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to influence and align cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable working in Agile, fast-paced, and remote environments.

• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• If the selected candidate possesses a degree in Engineering or a related field, they must present their professional license.
