Virtual Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide literacy-focused tutoring lessons for students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade using Amplify’s structured, research-backed curriculum.

• Design lesson plans and prepare for each tutoring session.

• Conduct tutoring sessions remotely during designated weekday school hours.

• Commit to the assigned tutoring group for a duration of approximately 15 weeks.

• Engage in initial training and continuous professional development.

• Accept and apply coaching and feedback.

• Assist students in achieving their reading objectives.

• Maintain a private, quiet, and distraction-free environment for tutoring.

• Utilize Amplify platforms and materials to deliver lessons effectively.

• Seek additional tutoring endorsements or participate in special projects after demonstrating successful outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

• Comfortable and highly proficient with technology.

• Available for a minimum of 90 minutes each day, 3 days per week during consistent school hours.

• Availability during school-day hours, approximately from 8am to 4pm ET.

• Access to a personal laptop or computer equipped with a webcam and microphone.

• Access to headphones and a reliable internet connection.

• Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones are not permitted.

• Passionate about working with students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

• Interest in delivering lessons using the Amplify Curriculum.

• Willingness to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.

• Commitment to participating in professional development and learning opportunities.

• Must reside physically within the 50 states of the United States.

• Must meet U.S. employment eligibility criteria.

• Completion of fingerprint-based state/FBI background checks is required before engaging with students.

• Successful completion of paid training within 2 weeks of the start date.

• Capability to complete a one-way video interview and teaching demonstration.

• Ability to travel to Amplify’s New York headquarters for in-person onboarding or as required during employment.
