This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Install, maintain, and repair a diverse array of medical equipment, with a particular emphasis on sterilizers and anesthesia machines.
• Ensure that all equipment complies with required safety and performance standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration on medical devices.
• Execute biomedical inspections to verify proper operation and adherence to safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve issues utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Provide training and support to clinical staff regarding the proper use of equipment.
• Manage service records and keep maintenance documentation organized.
• Offer on-call technical support and carry out emergency repairs as necessary.
• Comply with national and international standards for medical equipment safety and performance.
• Travel to various locations for repairs, installations, and regular service.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel frequently (over 50% of the time).
• Have basic technical skills and a genuine interest in biomedical equipment.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently.
• Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with medical personnel and colleagues.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Any certification or hands-on experience with biomedical equipment (e.g., Mindray, GE, Primus, Steris, Getinge, Tuttnauer) is advantageous.
• Experience with software and hardware integration in medical devices is preferred.
• Familiarity with current medical device regulations and compliance standards is essential.
