Virtual Teacher, Social Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-screen synchronous instruction for five or more hours daily.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction and pinpoint learning gaps.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments while maintaining accurate records.

• Cultivate authentic relationships with students and families through professional communication.

• Collaborate with educational partners and Edmentum colleagues for consistent support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline, along with an active state teaching license in Washington, Oregon, and/or Colorado for Social Studies/Social Science for grades 6-12.

• Experience in teaching within virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfortable navigating the unique challenges of a live online classroom.

• Confident and engaging on camera, capable of teaching live for five or more consecutive hours each day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Data-informed: skilled in interpreting student performance data and adapting live instruction accordingly.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Highly organized and self-motivated.

• Dedication to professional growth and staying updated on K-12 curriculum and best practices.

• Openness to taking on evolving responsibilities based on the needs of the business.
