Virtual Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Provide direct, patient-centered musculoskeletal care through telehealth consultations, asynchronous communication, and collaborative clinical discussions.

• Perform targeted, high-complexity initial assessments as well as secondary or tertiary consultations.

• Address treatment-failure escalations effectively.

• Act as the primary clinical authority on complex differential diagnoses, unusual MSK presentations, and decisions regarding surgical/non-surgical triage.

• Offer advanced interpretation of MRI, CT, and MSK ultrasound imaging to inform treatment plans.

• Educate and empower patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

• Function as a collaborating/supervising physician for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including conducting chart audits, outlining clinical escalation pathways, and providing team mentorship.

• Collaborate with physical therapists and health coaches on complex cases and best practice approaches.

• Establish, review, and adhere to evidence-based MSK clinical protocols.

• Contribute to various projects and initiatives within a rapidly growing healthcare startup.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Vermont.

• At least 2 years of experience in MSK/Orthopedics.

• Strong dedication to delivering exceptional MSK care with empathy and efficiency.

• Outstanding communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Enthusiastic about healthcare innovation and digital health solutions.

• Reliable high-speed internet access and a quiet, professional remote workspace.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses as necessary.

• Experience in telemedicine is preferred.

• Background in health-tech is preferred.

• Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting is preferred.

• Flexible availability to accommodate changing patient demands, including mornings and evenings, is preferred.

• Additional licensure in MI, WI, MA, or NY is preferred.
