This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ At General Medicine, you will join a clinical community dedicated to elevating the standards of virtual primary care β sharing our commitment to making high-quality medicine accessible to all through telemedicine and innovative technology.
β’ We are looking for experienced physicians who excel in dynamic environments, embody empathy and clinical excellence, and are enthusiastic about providing care that transcends a single interaction.
β’ As a part-time virtual physician, you will be an integral part of a comprehensive care model that incorporates both asynchronous and synchronous virtual care, lab and imaging coordination, specialist e-consultations, and referrals to in-person care when necessary.
β’ This role is not focused on high-volume, protocol-driven telehealth; clinicians are actively involved in guiding patients through their decisions and subsequent steps, maintaining clinical ownership rather than transferring care after a single interaction.
β’ The position is designed to seamlessly integrate with an existing hospital, emergency department, or outpatient practice.
β’ MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
β’ Active, unrestricted medical licenses that cover at least 40% of the U.S. population. Multi-state licensure is necessary β priority states include California, Texas, Florida, and New York (credentialing support is available for additional states).
β’ Comfort in practicing broad general medicine with an understanding of diagnostic uncertainty and clinical synthesis.
β’ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
β’ Openness to utilizing modern clinical tools and workflows (prior telehealth experience is advantageous, but not mandatory).
β’ Ability to commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week.
β’ Availability to cover at least one weekend shift each month.
β’ Eligibility to treat Medicare and Medicaid patients.
β’ A clean professional record, with no sanctions, suspensions, or history of malpractice.
β’ Flexibility: 1099 structure designed to complement primary clinical roles.
β’ Tools: Outstanding clinical support tools that clinicians have described as the best they have ever used.
β’ Operations: Comprehensive operations support for coordination and administrative responsibilities.
β’ Community: A selective, expanding community of thoughtful clinicians.
