Virtual Physician, Part-Time

📋 Description

• At General Medicine, you will join a clinical community dedicated to elevating the standards of virtual primary care — sharing our commitment to making high-quality medicine accessible to all through telemedicine and innovative technology.

• We are looking for experienced physicians who excel in dynamic environments, embody empathy and clinical excellence, and are enthusiastic about providing care that transcends a single interaction.

• As a part-time virtual physician, you will be an integral part of a comprehensive care model that incorporates both asynchronous and synchronous virtual care, lab and imaging coordination, specialist e-consultations, and referrals to in-person care when necessary.

• This role is not focused on high-volume, protocol-driven telehealth; clinicians are actively involved in guiding patients through their decisions and subsequent steps, maintaining clinical ownership rather than transferring care after a single interaction.

• The position is designed to seamlessly integrate with an existing hospital, emergency department, or outpatient practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Active, unrestricted medical licenses that cover at least 40% of the U.S. population. Multi-state licensure is necessary — priority states include California, Texas, Florida, and New York (credentialing support is available for additional states).

• Comfort in practicing broad general medicine with an understanding of diagnostic uncertainty and clinical synthesis.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

• Openness to utilizing modern clinical tools and workflows (prior telehealth experience is advantageous, but not mandatory).

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week.

• Availability to cover at least one weekend shift each month.

• Eligibility to treat Medicare and Medicaid patients.

• A clean professional record, with no sanctions, suspensions, or history of malpractice.
