Senior Corporate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer legal and commercial advice for a designated line of business and/or staff group

• Act as the principal legal support for a line of business and/or staff group along with its senior management teams

• May provide expertise in various legal fields including: general corporate issues, compliance, drafting transactional documents, licensing agreements, employment law, immigration law, data privacy, risk management, asset-backed financing, and contract administration

• Perform research and interpret both new and existing laws and regulations to guarantee compliance

• Identify and evaluate risks while determining suitable actions for particular business sectors

• Serve as a consultant to other legal personnel in the department regarding specific practice areas

• Maintain connections with external counsel and offer recommendations on partnerships and contracts

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and an active State Bar License to practice law

• Over 7 years of experience either in-house or at a law firm specializing in health care and/or another specialized area such as procurement, M&A, regulatory, or privacy

• Demonstrated success in relevant practice areas

• Exceptional organizational abilities

• Outstanding written, verbal, and analytical communication skills

• Capability to drive results through informal authority and act as a consultant to business partners

• Ability to use discretion and independent judgment in fulfilling job responsibilities
