This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Instruct online nursing students at various entry levels, ranging from associate degree to doctoral programs.
• Provide online instructional content through the Moodle online learning management system, covering both didactic and practicum material.
• Address problems and oversee courses while maintaining ongoing, professional, clear, and consistent communication with students, Course Coordinators, Program Directors, Associate Dean or Assistant Dean of Online Nursing, and other necessary contacts through various methods such as email, phone calls, text messages, or virtual meetings.
• Follow Regis College’s policies regarding faculty course presence, grading turnaround times, and student response times.
• Keep and attend required office hours.
• Stay updated on online teaching methodologies.
• Complete end-of-course evaluations.
• Participate in all mandatory Adjunct Faculty meetings organized by the Course Coordinator and others as requested.
• Timely submission of midterm and final grade reports.
• Offer students alternative learning experiences.
• Organize group meetings, drop-in sessions, and study groups for students as necessary.
• Monitor student engagement in courses.
• Assist in linking students to college resources.
• A Doctoral Degree is preferred (with those currently in pursuit considered); a Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner Certification; CNE preferred and/or coursework in online teaching is preferred.
• Active and unencumbered RN/APRN licensure in the home state and RN license in Massachusetts required prior to employment for all NP tracks; must maintain active licensure throughout the teaching period.
• Active APRN practice, if applicable, in the home state for all NP specialty clinical/didactic courses.
• Other credentials will be evaluated individually based on the applicant's experience and expertise.
• Prior experience with online teaching is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Zoom for synchronous meetings; experience with various learning management systems; reliable internet access; dependable personal computer; consistent and reliable phone service.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in related states as per Board of Nursing requirements.
