Senior Fraud Investigator, English & Italian Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collecting evidence from flagged transaction data and customer claim submissions, while probing further where necessary.

• Employing Monzo’s values to investigate the nature of suspicious transactions with empathy and meticulous attention to detail.

• Utilizing Monzo’s values to reassure and assist customers throughout the process of detecting active fraud.

• Protecting compromised accounts and taking appropriate remedial measures to ensure customers can safely use their Monzo account again.

• Offering advice and support to fraud victims on how to safeguard themselves in the future.

• Engaging in communication with other banks regarding potential fraudsters within our and their customer bases.

• Interacting with CIFAS about potential fraudsters within Monzo’s customer base.

• Coordinating with law enforcement regarding crimes uncovered during our investigations.

• Submitting accounts for closure when first-party concerns arise post-investigation, in accordance with relevant guidelines.

• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• You are fluent in Italian, both in written and verbal communication.

• You excel as a team player and can work effectively within a technical team.

• You have an understanding of fraud and the capability to manage all types of fraud to achieve resolutions for our customers.

• You can deliver actionable feedback to a diverse range of audiences and levels.

• You possess substantial experience in identifying trends and providing technical training and coaching on fraud prevention.

• You have knowledge of fraud prevention policies and regulations in the UK and the EU, as well as associated financial crime risks.
