Virtual Occupational Therapist – Full & Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional, direct occupational therapy services to designated K-12 students in accordance with mandated IEPs and service objectives.

• Perform screenings and both formal and informal evaluations to assess students' occupational therapy requirements, utilizing established best practices.

• Implement state-specific policies and procedures related to the delivery of occupational therapy services.

• Prepare evaluation reports, progress notes, and individualized education plans.

• Record all student interactions and comprehensive therapy notes in the Education Management System, adhering to Medicaid guidelines.

• Actively participate as a member of the IEP team by attending meetings and submitting necessary documentation.

• Maintain regular communication with parents/learning coaches and school special education personnel regarding IEP objectives and student requirements.

• Collaborate with teachers to coordinate specially designed instruction outlined in IEPs.

• Support the organization and execution of IEP documentation, paperwork, and processes.

• Ensure accurate data management within the Education Management System and special education software, including secondary IEP systems.

• Foster positive relationships among the OT team, schools, and the programs being served.

• Review and evaluate reports to ensure compliance.

• Acquire and uphold necessary licenses and clearances.

• Complete any additional assigned responsibilities.

• Provide services remotely through webcams, web conferencing tools, the online Education Management System, and other caseload management resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE accredited institution.

• NBCOT Certification.

• Valid Occupational Therapy License from the Board and/or Department of Education for both your state of residence and the state you will be working in.

• Capability to obtain and maintain various required state certifications and clearances as designated.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a K-12 educational environment.

• Proficient technology skills.

• High adaptability and ability to work independently.

• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Flexibility in working hours during school time, from 8 am to 8 pm, with potential changes based on caseload assignments and student locations.

• Ability to conduct evaluations using an approved selection of evidence-based, norm-referenced assessments.

• Required National Board Certification.
