Virtual Medical Control Nurse Practitioner, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Deliver patient-focused, high-quality acute care to individuals with intricate medical needs in accordance with clinical protocols.

• Collaborate closely with mobile integrated healthcare clinicians (paramedics and EMTs) and other members of the instED team.

• Attend scheduled operational or clinical meetings, as per availability, to stay informed about programmatic and organizational activities and their implications for clinical practice.

• Work in partnership with other VMCs and CRC team members as necessary, primarily to manage visit volumes and address clinical inquiries.

• Offer clinical and operational insights to the management team to enhance care delivery.

• Collaborate with referring Care Partners and Primary Care Providers.

• Accurately document visits within the EMR in a timely manner.

• Provide clinical care to patients through various telehealth technologies (telephonic, video, direct messaging).

⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Science (M.S.) in Nursing is required.

• Doctoral Nursing degree is preferred.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience working independently as a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is required.

• Experience in caring for medically and socially complex patients is required.

• Proven experience in collaborative work with a diverse range of professionals is required.

• Experience in providing non-face-to-face care, particularly via telephone or virtual platforms, is required.

• An active Nurse Practitioner License or the ability to obtain licensure in states where instED operates is required.

• Active board certification in Family Practice, Acute Care, or Adult-Gerontology is required.

• Current DEA registration is required.

• MA Health Enrollment is required if licensed in Massachusetts.

• Current BLS Certification is required.
