Virtual Design Construction Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support with VDC coordination for subcontractors, delivering essential guidance as required.

• Work alongside clients and project teams on-site to assess project scope, schedules, and prefabrication possibilities for small to medium-scale projects.

• Establish the VDC scope of work by organizing construction activities and determining deliverable schedules that align with project timelines.

• Suggest electrical installation methods by analyzing previous projects, electrical codes, and industry best practices.

• Advocate for planning and layout standards while promoting technology adoption that benefits both Interstates and its clients.

• Gather project information and relay changes to affected team members.

• Guide team members in design best practices by reviewing their work, collaborating on projects, and assigning designs for BIM modeling.

• Address field challenges by working with field leaders to pinpoint issues and propose effective solutions.

• Evaluate project risks and mitigation strategies through a thorough review of project documentation.

• Provide constructive feedback to technicians and designers by assessing deliverables and communicating necessary modifications.

• Identify and execute process enhancements in VDC workflows by leveraging lessons learned to boost efficiency and promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical construction management or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Candidates with an associate degree coupled with significant experience in electrical planning or construction will also be considered.

• The ideal applicant will possess a Journeyman's license with 3-5 years of experience in electrical planning, design, or construction coordination.

• A strong comprehension of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other pertinent industry standards is crucial.

• Experience in project planning, including material takeoffs and resource scheduling, is required.

• Demonstrate the capability to collaborate effectively with project managers, field teams, and other stakeholders.
