Design Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate visual and product design materials against professional standards and aesthetic quality.

• Assess visual presentation, layout, composition, usability, and overall design appeal.

• Review graphics, documents, presentations, digital interfaces, and other professional design artifacts.

• Make informed decisions regarding design preferences and effectively communicate the rationale behind those choices.

• Identify strengths, weaknesses, inconsistencies, and areas that require improvement in visual work.

• Consistently apply professional design principles across various tasks and formats.

• Utilize common productivity and design tools to review, compare, and evaluate materials.

• Provide clear, structured feedback based on professional expertise and visual judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience in a position that demands strong visual quality, design judgment, and presentation skills.

• Experience in creating graphics, presentations, documents, layouts, or other visual materials in a professional capacity.

• Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.

• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, composition, typography, spacing, and presentation quality.

• Ability to differentiate polished professional design from work that needs refinement.

• Strong attention to detail and the capability to make consistent, well-reasoned design choices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Native or near-native proficiency in English.

• Comfortable working with Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, PDF documents, and common design/productivity platforms.

• Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.

• Must reside in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada.

• H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not currently supported.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.
