Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Create drawings and documentation by utilizing computer-aided drafting software to assist designated project teams.

• Operate relevant plotters and printers.

• Examine food service equipment layouts, equipment cut sheets, tailored fabrication drawings, mechanical designs, and architectural blueprints.

• Collaborate with contractors, designers, technicians, and other stakeholders to integrate information into drawing packages.

• Compile and distribute project documentation, including specification sheet books, plans, and equipment specifications.

• Carry out administrative responsibilities that support estimating, operations, and business development initiatives.

• Aid in reviewing equipment quotes and manufacturer shop drawings while incorporating requirements into drawings.

• Maintain documentation for coordination and scope-of-work modifications, including generating and tracking revisions.

• Assist in acquiring field measurements.

• Participate in project meetings as necessary.

• Communicate internally and externally about project issues and changes.

• Implement work in accordance with SINGER processes and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of experience using AutoCAD and Revit, ideally in food service equipment or construction sectors.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Familiarity with AutoQuotes is advantageous.

• Capability to measure and document field conditions using descriptive language, dimensions, and sketches.

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, precision, and strong organizational skills.

• Flexible availability; overtime and weekend work may be necessary and required.
