Designer – Virtual Design and Construction Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Singer Hub on Forma, managing folders and permissions for various divisions.

• Develop a BIM Execution Plan for Singer H&R.

• Assist VDC projects by handling project setup, BIM modeling, rough-ins, and providing technical support.

• Participate in VDC/BIM kick-off meetings to set expectations and timelines.

• Review hosts’ BIM Execution Plans and adjust projects accordingly.

• Engage in BIM Coordination Meetings alongside Project Managers.

• Conduct clash detection utilizing Navisworks and Revizto as needed.

• Work collaboratively with both internal and external project teams to address coordination challenges.

• Keep updated with Autodesk Forma and other BIM coordination tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate’s or Technical Degree in Drafting, CADD, or a relevant field is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in design is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in foodservice equipment design is necessary.

• Experience with mechanical systems is preferred.

• Required proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

• Ability to quickly and efficiently solve problems.

• General math skills and the capability to read blueprints and plans are essential.

• A basic understanding of general construction practices is needed.

• Must be able to meet deadlines and adhere to project schedules.

• A strong motivation and self-drive to complete tasks is required.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
