This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee intricate projects by defining conceptual directions, VDC execution methodologies, and project timelines.
• Organize design and coordination schedules across multiple initiatives, prioritizing effectively and establishing clear milestone deadlines.
• Evaluate resource availability and assign tasks effectively to guarantee timely completion of projects.
• Provide mentorship to design personnel by assessing their technical abilities and offering specific learning opportunities.
• Resolve design, coordination, and installation challenges by working closely with the team to apply successful solutions.
• Foster relationships with field leaders and guide them on technical and project leadership best practices.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify documentation needs, set goals, and define key performance metrics.
• Ensure team members are accountable for achieving project objectives, contractual obligations, and industry standards while supervising their execution.
• Utilize expertise to establish standards and best practices, mentoring others on their application.
• Cultivate strong client and plant relationships that enhance current projects and pave the way for larger multi-discipline project opportunities, including those in data centers.
• Assist in data center project planning through VDC coordination, constructability assessments, and documentation strategies.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and manufacturing teams to facilitate efficient project execution and problem resolution.
• Ensure project documentation is consistent with construction sequencing, field installation requirements, and client expectations.
• A high school diploma or an associate degree (A.A., A.S.) in a relevant field such as Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related area from a two-year community or technical college is mandatory; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 7–15 years of experience in virtual design and construction, project management, or a comparable role, ideally within the electrical sector.
• Equivalent combinations of education and substantial relevant experience will also be evaluated.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD software is essential.
• A proven track record of managing or leading teams in a virtual design context.
• Experience in coordinating complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating with stakeholders is critical for this leadership role.
