Virtual Design Construction Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop the conceptual design package utilizing design software in collaboration with project leaders while adhering to established standards and best practices.

• Suggest electrical and automation methodologies by evaluating previous projects, electrical codes, and industry standards.

• Address challenges by working with project leaders and offering effective solutions.

• Engage with clients, contractors, and project teams through on-site or virtual meetings to discuss project scope, timelines, and prefabrication possibilities.

• Guide team members through developmental delegation, reviewing deliverables, and offering constructive feedback.

• Define project direction by documenting the scope and setting the deliverable schedule.

• Evaluate project risks and opportunities to apply design strategies using VDC software.

• Collect project information and relay updates to all relevant team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or an associate degree (A.A., A.S.) in a relevant area such as Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field from a two-year community college or technical college is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 4-10 years of experience in virtual design and construction, technical modeling, or a similar position, ideally within the electrical sector.

• Proficient in virtual modeling software.

• Solid understanding of construction documentation.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to facilitate complex design processes.

• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and advanced project coordination is preferred.
