This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.
• Train and model Positive Behavior Support methodology for staff members.
• Collaborate as part of Interdisciplinary Teams, offering insights on behavioral matters.
• Assess, design, train, supervise, and report on Behavior Plans.
• Execute both descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including conducting functional analyses.
• Deliver behavior analytic interpretations of assessment outcomes.
• Offer direct behavioral treatment through skills training, social skills development, crisis de-escalation, as well as group and individual behavioral treatment, and skills coaching.
• Engage in the on-call rotation for addressing behavioral concerns.
• Oversee the use of restraints and provide training aimed at reducing their necessity.
• Monitor challenging behaviors actively.
• Participate in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and additional relevant committees.
• Deliver tailored services to meet the treatment needs of specialty intermediate care clinic patients.
• Fulfill the requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as necessary.
• Adhere to all established policies and procedures.
• Possess Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Hold a valid license in Missouri.
• Have specialized training and/or experience in fundamental applied behavior principles, including plan execution, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.
• Accumulate two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training focused on behavior supports.
• Attain a Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Demonstrate the ability to record and enter data in a clear, precise, and objective manner.
• Exhibit the ability to engage in and showcase knowledge of approved crisis management procedures.
• Possess the ability to read and understand straightforward instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Capable of writing simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group contexts.
• Able to apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions.
• Capable of making independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.
