Virtual ASL Educator, Certification Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct 8th grade American Sign Language (ASL) remotely

• Deliver the school's curriculum using the district's virtual platform

• Create lesson plans that align with the course curriculum

• Encourage creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning space

• Engage and support student learning through intentional, relationship-driven strategies

• Monitor and record student grades and performance

• Participate in district professional development workshops and faculty meetings

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is present with students

• Utilize the educator portal to select assigned jobs

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have authorization to work in the United States

• Must possess an active, state-issued teaching certification from the USA

• Must be certified in Michigan or be willing to pursue Michigan reciprocity

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional teaching role

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and stable internet connection

• Participate in a virtual teaching skills demonstration

• Complete a background check as part of the application procedure

• Previous experience in online teaching is advantageous
