VIP Relationship Manager, Emerging Markets

📋 Description

• Act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of VIP clients with assets under management or trading volumes exceeding specified thresholds.

• Establish and nurture robust, trust-based relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, crypto funds, and institutional traders.

• Perform regular business assessments and check-ins with top-tier clients to evaluate satisfaction levels and recognize upselling opportunities.

• Serve as the internal advocate for VIP clients, collaborating with product, compliance, and operations teams to promptly address issues.

• Actively seek and onboard new VIP clients through referrals, industry events, and regional outreach initiatives.

• Propel trading volume growth, fee revenue, and cross-selling of products including spot, derivatives, earn, OTC, and Web3 offerings.

• Formulate and implement territory-specific strategies to enhance presence in Africa (both Sub-Saharan and North Africa), Switzerland, and Pakistan.

• Represent the exchange at significant conferences, summits, and community events within the designated region.

• Stay informed about the competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and macro trends influencing crypto adoption in Africa, Switzerland, and Pakistan.

• Collect and communicate client feedback to internal product and strategy teams to shape roadmap decisions.

• Identify emerging trends in trading behaviors and asset preferences among VIP client segments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in relationship management, private banking, institutional sales, or brokerage, ideally within the crypto, fintech, or financial services sectors.

• A demonstrated history of managing high-value client portfolios with a clear impact on revenue.

• Prior engagement with African markets, Swiss financial services, or Pakistan's fintech/crypto landscape is highly desirable.

• Experience in or collaboration with a crypto exchange, trading firm, or Web3 organization is a significant asset.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building rapport across diverse cultures.

• Strong commercial insight with the capability to identify revenue opportunities and close deals effectively.

• In-depth knowledge of crypto products including spot trading, perpetual futures, options, and staking.

• Competence with CRM tools (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and data-driven reporting practices.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Fluency in one or more regional languages is highly preferred: French, Swahili, Arabic, Hausa, Afrikaans (for Africa), German or French (for Switzerland), Urdu or Punjabi (for Pakistan).
