Video Editor – Social Media Content Repurposing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the raw footage from Stephanie's speaking engagement on November 12, 2026.

• Determine the most impactful segments and edit the content into a refined approximately 30-minute YouTube video.

• Eliminate unnecessary pauses, errors, awkward transitions, and distracting elements.

• Enhance pacing and continuity while maintaining the speaker's message, tone, authenticity, and intended meaning.

• Incorporate smooth transitions and suitable visual enhancements.

• Ensure clear and consistent audio, alongside appropriate visual presentation.

• Conduct a thorough review of the final edits for technical issues, synchronized audio and video, seamless playback, and caption inaccuracies.

• Highlight compelling moments, key messages, insights, and memorable quotes for short-form content.

• Generate standalone clips suited for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

• Reformat footage into a vertical layout and add captions, subtitles, or basic text overlays as needed.

• Adjust dimensions, pacing, openings, endings, and exports to fit each platform's requirements.

• Minimize unnecessary repetition and suggest a feasible number of clips within the agreed project hours.

• Advise on editing techniques, impactful short-form segments, formats, aspect ratios, captions, visual enhancements, and potential future repurposing improvements.

• Communicate any limitations of source footage and provide practical professional recommendations.

• Systematically organize source, working, and final files.

• Deliver the agreed files using the designated file-sharing method.

• Implement agreed revisions within the allocated project hours and timeline.

• Work autonomously on a flexible schedule while adhering to agreed deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing.

• Experience with editing long-form talking-head, presentation, interview, or speaking-event footage.

• Capability to transform long-form videos into engaging short-form content.

• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, and visual continuity.

• Ability to pinpoint compelling moments and craft concise, impactful clips.

• Familiarity with both horizontal and vertical video formats.

• Knowledge of video export standards for YouTube and various social media platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance.

• Competence in following instructions and working independently.

• Effective communication skills and a willingness to offer practical editing guidance.

• Ability to manage project hours and deliver results within an agreed timeline.

• Preferred experience with YouTube long-form videos and YouTube Shorts.

• Preferred experience in repurposing content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

• Preferred experience in editing speaking engagements, presentations, webinars, interviews, or educational materials.

• Preferred experience in adding captions, subtitles, and basic text overlays.

• Preferred experience in enhancing audio clarity and managing background noise where feasible.

• Preferred experience in selecting engaging opening moments and producing standalone clips.

• Preferred experience collaborating with personal brands, speakers, consultants, coaches, or thought leaders.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Desktop, or other suitable professional video editing software.

• Ability to articulate the preferred workflow and technical requirements for file receipt and delivery.

• Ability to communicate via WhatsApp.

• Flexibility in working hours and ensuring timely completion of agreed deliverables.
