Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Contribute original footage that you have shot and fully own, or source footage that is openly licensed.

• Create realistic editing briefs.

• Develop post-production tasks from start to finish using your personal editing software.

• Edit footage and introduce defects or distractions when necessary.

• Produce reference edits that serve as benchmarks for judging correct results.

• Write clear, verifiable grading criteria supported by editorial reasoning.

• Blind-solve tasks created by fellow editors.

• Draft step-by-step solutions.

• Create post-production tasks intended for training and evaluating AI agents.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional editing experience in film and TV, commercials, broadcast news, or creator and social production.

• Ability to manage deliverables from start to finish.

• Proficient in at least one professional editing software: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.

• Basic skills in color correction and audio cleanup.

• Familiarity with delivery specifications, including resolution, frame rate, codecs, audio channel layouts, and frame-accurate cuts.

• Submission of a resume along with a link to your reel or portfolio.

• Completion of a brief AI interview regarding your editing background.

• This position is not available to residents of California.

• We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.

• Must work as an independent contractor.

• All professional footage must be either fully owned or openly licensed.

• Individuals featured in owned footage must consent to its usage and sign an appearance release when applicable.
