Video Editing Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Contribute original footage that you have personally filmed and fully own, or use openly licensed footage.

• Create realistic editing briefs based on the provided footage.

• Develop post-production tasks from start to finish using editing software.

• Edit footage and incorporate defects or distractors as necessary.

• Produce reference edits that serve as benchmarks for evaluating correct outcomes.

• Formulate concrete, verifiable grading criteria supported by editorial reasoning.

• Blind-solve tasks generated by fellow editors.

• Draft detailed, step-by-step solutions.

• Assist in the training and evaluation of AI agents and cutting-edge AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional editing experience in film and television, commercials, broadcast news, or social and creator production.

• Capability to manage deliverables from start to finish.

• Proficient in at least one professional editing software: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.

• Basic skills in color correction and audio cleanup.

• Familiarity with delivery specifications including resolution, frame rate, codecs, audio channel layouts, and frame-accurate cuts.

• Strong advantage: a collection of unpublished original footage that you have personally filmed and fully own.

• Strong advantage: individuals on camera who will agree to sign an appearance release.

• Submission of a resume along with a link to a reel or portfolio is required.

• Completion of a brief AI interview regarding your editing experience is necessary.

• Provision of information related to footage ownership and consent for its usage is required.

• Applicants must not be residents of California.

• Availability to work approximately 12 hours per week is necessary.

• Must be eligible to work without H-1B or STEM OPT support.
