Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Edit high-quality video content for both internal and external communications, including announcements, briefings, and training materials.

• Collaborate with creative teams to transform concepts and storyboards into refined final products.

• Execute comprehensive post-production workflows, encompassing rough and final cuts, color correction, audio synchronization, mixing, and rendering.

• Deliver outputs in multiple formats optimized for web streaming, enterprise platforms, and distribution to stakeholders.

• Provide support for live and recorded AV/VTC events, such as town halls, commission-related sessions, and office or division meetings.

• Offer live video and audio directing support, managing recording workflows for high-visibility events.

• Coordinate captioning processes and assist with third-party accessibility services.

• Collaborate with AV/VTC teams to ensure event readiness and address any production issues.

• Ensure that deliverables adhere to SEC branding guidelines, accessibility standards, and contract compliance requirements.

• Conduct quality-control checks for caption accuracy, audio clarity, visual consistency, and playback integrity.

• Oversee stakeholder review cycles, integrate feedback, and uphold delivery timelines.

• Adhere to SOPs, documentation practices, and version-control protocols.

• Maintain well-organized digital asset libraries, including naming conventions, metadata, and archival controls.

• Manage processes for media ingest, storage, and handoff.

• Monitor requests and production status through enterprise workflow and ticketing systems.

• Support urgent and time-sensitive communication needs aligned with operational priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.

• Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or a higher level if necessary).

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in video editing and production (3-5 years is the preferred range).

• Proven experience in executing end-to-end post-production workflows, including color correction, audio synchronization, and rendering.

• Familiarity with video compression standards, streaming formats, and multimedia workflows.

• Experience in supporting enterprise multimedia delivery environments; experience in government or regulated settings is preferred.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Skilled in Adobe After Effects.

• Knowledgeable in video compression standards and streaming formats.

• Experienced in multimedia production workflows (ingest, edit, transcode, render, publish).

• Familiar with digital asset management and version-control practices.
