This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Wealth Enablement ensures that every team member who interacts with clients feels backed and is clear on their actions, timing, and motivations when assisting clients.
• The Vice President will consolidate content strategy, oversee curriculum development, and promote solution adoption to enhance a more uniform and proactive client experience.
• The Vice President will spearhead the Enablement function to establish scalable, AI-driven training and content frameworks across Wealth Management and Wealth Solutions.
• This leader will formulate the strategy, assemble the team, and facilitate behavioral transformation and large-scale adoption, effectively connecting corporate functions with field operations.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in enablement, learning & development, or field effectiveness roles within wealth management, financial services, or a complex, field-oriented professional services organization.
• Proven success in constructing or expanding centralized enablement functions — not merely managing existing L&D programs, but designing new ones from inception.
• A history of instigating measurable changes in advisor or field sales behavior, with documented evidence of adoption outcomes and performance enhancements.
• Experience in managing and developing teams composed of content creators, trainers, and program managers, ideally leveraging AI to enhance their productivity.
• Knowledge of the complexities associated with a post-M&A integration environment and the enablement challenges it presents.
• Ideally, the candidate will possess a CFP and/or prior experience directly engaging with clients.
• A strategic thinker capable of translating business priorities (NRR, retention, 'One Mercer' delivery) into curriculum design and behavioral change initiatives that enhance the client experience.
• A strong cross-functional collaborator who can influence without direct authority across Relationship Expansion, Segment Delivery, Operations, and Technology.
• A data-informed mindset — utilizes telemetry, adoption metrics, and field feedback to refine and enhance content and delivery systems.
• AI-literate — knowledgeable about AI tools and capable of applying them to expedite content creation, personalize learning, and scale enablement, all while advocating for responsible adoption across the field.
• An exceptional communicator with executive presence — able to represent Enablement to senior leadership and serve as a credible advocate for field needs in the product design process.
• A builder mentality — invigorated by ambiguity and the chance to establish structure where none currently exists.
• An advisor- and client-first focus — understands that advisor engagement drives client results, and designs every program with both the field and the end client in mind.
• Collaborative and low-ego — this role necessitates deep partnerships across WO&E and the larger business; success depends on earning trust rather than asserting authority.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment — Mercer is a high-growth, acquisition-focused firm; the Enablement leader must navigate a dynamic setting while ensuring quality and consistency.
