This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Duck Creek Technologies is in search of a seasoned Vice President of Sales who has a proven track record of exceeding quota objectives to join our Sales team.
• In the role of VP of Sales at Duck Creek, you will continue to build, lead, and enhance our team of Sales Directors.
• You will collaborate with P&C Carriers alongside the Sales Directors, pinpointing and creating alignment between Duck Creek’s solutions and the business drivers of our customers.
• Provide effective and credible leadership to the sales team, establishing a unified direction and ensuring that priorities are consistently clear.
• Forge relationships with key influencers, gaining business insights and developing informed opinions on the future strategies of assigned accounts.
• Cultivate relationships and work in partnership with internal cross-functional teams.
• Deliver impactful customer presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the Duck Creek Value Proposition and how it aligns with the prospect’s strategic goals.
• Lead the development and management of a robust sales pipeline.
• Implement a sales strategy and methodology that will guide the sales team effectively.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s underlying technology, existing products, and consulting services.
• Keep current and accurate information on account status and sales activities in SalesForce.com.
• Provide accurate forecasts for new bookings.
• Meet annual and quarterly sales targets.
• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new accounts.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the Duck Creek consultative and solution selling process.
• Utilize solution and Challenger-based sales skills to manage the sales cycle efficiently.
• A degree is preferred or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
• A minimum of 10+ years of successful sales experience; direct experience in the Insurance software and Insurtech sectors is a plus, particularly with Reinsurance, Loss Control, and/or Distribution Management.
• At least 10 years of management experience is required.
• A background in SaaS licensing and sales is essential.
• Sales experience must demonstrate a capability to exceed sales targets consistently.
• A strong understanding of the sales cycle stages and the ability to leverage each stage to facilitate the sale is necessary.
• Proven experience in meeting annual and quarterly targets and the ability to achieve regional goals.
• Demonstrated capacity to learn and apply recognized sales methodologies.
• Ability to prospect and manage a specific territory to optimize revenue growth.
• Capability to create trusting relationships with executive-level personnel and interact with senior corporate management.
• Must be comfortable articulating the product value proposition to both technical and non-technical executives.
• Operate with urgency, competitiveness, and a positive, winning attitude.
• Excellent time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• High levels of business and financial acumen, along with emotional intelligence.
• Ability to comprehend complex client strategies and tactical needs, clearly articulating the company’s offerings to create solutions that provide value.
• Familiarity with current web and cloud technologies is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills across all levels.
• Willingness to travel (30-50% or more).
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
